Professor Yunus is a strong advocate of capitalism and a believer of the freedom of free market. While capitalism’s goal is to maximize profit, he wants to put a humane face to it. In addition to sponsoring a profit-maximizing business, he wants to promote a type of business that is supposed to do good to people and the world. He terms the later as social business. Ahmed Sadiq from Sweden examines. (Photo: Muhammad Yunus shaking hand with Telenor chief Jon Fredrick Baksaas in Oslo, December 2006) |
